Happy Mother's Day!

There’s something I notice at almost every family session I photograph.
Moms are usually the ones behind the camera.
They’re the ones planning the trip, organizing the outfits, packing the snacks, fixing little hairs out of place, and making sure everyone actually shows up smiling. They are somehow always the ones making the memories happen… while rarely being in the memories themselves.
And I get it.
It’s easy to think, “I’ll just take the photo,” or “I don’t really need to be in this one.”
But years from now, your kids won’t care if your hair was perfectly done or if you felt a little tired from vacation. They’ll care that you were there. They’ll want to look back and see you laughing with them, holding them close, walking hand in hand on the beach, and loving them in all the quiet everyday ways you do now.
Photos become more valuable with time.
One day, these images become proof of a season of life that went by way too quickly.
So this Mother’s Day feels like a good reminder:step into the frame once in a while too.
Not just for yourself, but for the people who love you most.
I feel incredibly grateful for all the moms, grandmas, aunties, and mother figures I’ve gotten to photograph over the years. Watching the way you love your families is such an honor to witness and capture.
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
